“Yes We Can”

Looking like superman, he came to our life with a “Yes we can.”

He seemed calm, courageous, intelligent yelling “Yes we can.”

Lost hopes seem to revive, from every state.

From “I believe”, those tears revived to “Yes we can.”

African American, he was not afraid.

Calmness made race nothing but “Yes we can.”

While others would claim no, we can’t.

With his eyes of hope he would claim “Yes we can.”

The leader of the votes, but had no pride.

Respecting candidates, showing gratitude, “Yes we can.”

Talking with no doubts, nothing seemed impossible.

Whenever he shouted “Yes we can.”

In reality, nothing was left but tragedy.

Too much promise, since his “Yes we can.”

Was it necessary to give false hope?

Losing hope and leaving posters of “Yes we can.”

“Yes we can”, “yes we can” were the days we say.

Thought about ripping off stickers of “Yes we can.”

Citizens lost, do you feel happy?

It’s not too late, show us the meaning of “Yes we can.”

Sonnet

She shines within the brightness of a sun

Without a lie I see her in the dark

Her eye makes me wonder if time begun

Her nose stands high, it will never debark

I have ate the best desserts in life, but

Sugar is nothing compared to her lips

Love her, then become a cigarette butt

Like those goddess, you’ll never have a grip

She’s like Satan you would not believe me

You would be surprised by eating apples

Her love is fake, for sure she stings like bees

Feelings lead you to funeral chapels

Still I follow her lead, not the feelings

I have been attracted by my instincts

Ode to Gym

|

You watch my games

Get stepped all day

My sweat falls as long as I stay

You have stayed here for 50 years

How do you stand, can you hear?

Do I abuse you, or am I your weights

As long as I run please resist my weight

I find comfort in your place

Improving as I practice till outer space

You give me chance to change my taste

In different sports even if I hate

You’re not opened, but remember

I’ll be back in December

Basketball is what I play

That season of sport is what I crave

Wait for my legs my gym I save

I'll bring some 50 years old chocolate shake

Elegy for our forgotten president

The Broken Lighthouse

Our only pride

Leader lost in south

I would not hide

The emotions we go through

Losing our leader in reign

Without you, cannot be sewed

We ride our next train

Came in to our lives with light

You show no evil

Only one in our sight

Faithful president, our minds were still

We live with candles

Campfires are gone in the endless ocean

We cannot open doors, broken handles

We lost you, we lost devotion

Please don’t leave us

Don’t leave our seats

You’re our present Jesus

The creek of sorrow leaks

Ballad: Matchmaker

Story of a North Korean Women Helping South Koreans Marry North Korean Women

Match Maker

South for looks

North for beauty

Like a compass, their united

The only way

For us to say, we can keep in stay

Put men from South

Women of North

Like a match

Its wood and fire

That’s what matters

South and North’s ladder

Reminisce leaving North

With my daughter to the Shore

Her eyes looking sore

In epic china’s border

Still, dreams became reality

South wanted tradition

North had what it takes

That’s my job, matchmaker

Now it makes some Sense

Making matches for our freedom

No matter what, we still relate

Got what it takes

For God sakes

Unite Koreans

God, we live like flakes

That’s my job, matchmaking

For the freedom, not the fame

Now it makes some sense

Concrete Poem: Stop Watch

|

Stop Watch

Time pasts away

As the flood rushes down the alley

Leaving it pass

More chaos in the city

Why not leave it and let it be

There should be remedy

But seeking gaps between

We could not be

Thinking of you drifting away

I wish I could have my say

The moon light above us

Shines bright when it hits twelve

Making no sense

The time goes backwards

It’s hard to understand

For you me and her

I guess times over; you know I’m walking backwards

I’m walking dead indeed

You’ve followed my lead

Gravity

As newton held to sell his theory in belief

Apple saves a day, modern no difference

No gravity, flying oceans, free creativity

Blame what brings you down, upon what truly pulls you down

It comes free, like XP backgrounds

No one cares, but science still gives a tear

It is our love indeed

Mutual feelings that you can’t prove

Like those butterflies out there flying high

Who’s in love will forget sometime

But will know it till his death

Gravity is my love in law

Under me, see have a seat

Appreciate your love in law

Your bride in wedding trinity
